COVID-19 Hospital Protocols

Friday, May 29, 2020 UPDATE:  With Montgomery County entering into Phase 1 next week we wanted to touch base.  We will continue with curbside appointments until further notice.  Thank you all for helping us get through this change-  You and your pets have been wonderful to us!  The one thing that will change is having you fill out an online patient history form prior to your appointment.  This will help our staff speed up the curbside appointment process, open our phone lines up a bit for emergency calls, give the doctor more time to look at your pet and hopefully lessen your wait time for routine visits.  There will be a link sent in your reminder email and reminder text to this form, but it can also be found on our website here.  Please fill this out as best you can.  This will take place of our technicians asking these questions over the phone.  The curbside policy will remain the same as outlined below.  Please let us know if theres any questions you may have!  Thank you all and stay well!!


Hello everyone!  We are moving into the second month of new life here & we have finally been given the green light to start back up with annual appointments (including all vaccines-bordetella etc.) and surgeries (routine spays, neuters, dentals etc.)  Thank you all for your understanding of the new processes we have implemented with our appointments.

For the time being we will continue with curbside service only and will not allow clients into the clinic.  We expect this to be the case for many months.  Our hours at this time will continue to be the same Monday-Friday 8:30am-6pm and Saturdays 8:30am-2pm.  When this changes we will send out an email again to let everyone know.

We still do not have an update on when we can bring grooming back into the clinic.  We know this is needed by so many of our patients and we will keep you all updated when this changes.

Here is a reminder of our curbside policy.

CURBSIDE SERVICE:  When you arrive at your scheduled appointment time please call us at 301-963-0275 let us know you are here.  We will ask for the best phone number to reach you at during the appointment and what kind of car you are in.  When a technician is available, they will call the phone number you gave to get a history.  Someone will also come out to get your pet from you. When a technician comes out please get your pet out of your car for us and leashed or in carriers. For dogs on leashes: Keep your pet leashed as our staff leashes them with one of our blue leashes.  After your pet is secure on our leash please unclip your leash.  For pets in carriers: Our staff will wipe down the handle with a clorox wipe prior to bringing them in. Please keep a distance of 6 feet as much as possible from our staff.  (it's nothing personal, we just want to be able to stay healthy & open for our patients!)  Please stay in our parking lot unless told otherwise by the doctor. The doctor will examine your pet then call you again to go over the appointment.  After speaking with the doctor our technicians will get you charged out over the phone then bring your pet back to your car!  All invoices and report cards will be emailed.

If you need to pick up food or medications, please call ahead of time to let us know you are coming and what you are picking up. We will get you charged out over the phone at that time.

Once you are here call us again and we will place the meds to be picked up in a box outside for you to retrieve.
